The obituary notice of Amarylis Janet Faith MIDGLEY (nee Kocbuch)

In memory of Amarylis, our beloved cousin. We will miss you.

My brother and I were so very sad to hear that Amarylis had passed away. She was our cousin and we were regularly in touch. Even so, this was unexpected to us. I have so many fond memories of her throughout my life and latterly phone conversations and messages. She was always so very positive and I didn't have a clue from her last message that this sad event was looming.

She was a bridesmaid at about age 5 or 6 at my parents wedding - I found a photo just after my mother died in December and shared it with her.

She was a force of nature. She took the time and trouble to research our family history, document it and share it with family.

She will live on in our memories. Shine on lovely Amarylis.

So sorry to hear this news. I’ve known Amarylis for more than 50 years, since we used to work together on the Lincolnshire Chronicle. Our paths went in different directions, but we kept in touch and met up every year or so. Such a warm, lovely and positive lady who will be much missed by all those who knew her.
